When to Visit Fogo
Fogo enjoys a mild and dry climate for most of the year, with temperatures between 20°C and 28°C. The months from November to June are ideal for excursions to the volcano and for exploring the hinterland. Summer rains (July-September) are scarce but add a touch of green to the island's black and barren landscapes.

International and Inter-Island Connections in Cape Verde
Fogo has a national airport in São Filipe, connected by internal flights from Praia (Santiago) and Sal. There are no direct international flights. It is also possible to reach the island by sea, thanks to ferries departing from Brava and Santiago. Internal transport is provided by taxis, aluguers, and private vehicles for excursions to Chã das Caldeiras and the mountain villages.
